Overwhelming Welcome
03:22
|
|||
Slip out of bed to the shower and start off the day
Skyline is red from the sun, wish that it'd go away
Start up the car and I roll down my windows to see
What kind of weather is here to welcome me
Pull in the driveway and solemnly knock on the door
Corny but funny old welcome mat on the floor
Door opens wide and I peak my head in there to see
What kind of people are here to welcome me

Doak

|

I remember, not long ago
Guy at the skate park showing off what he don't know
Broke his neck, snapped right in half
Instead of helping, all his friends just sat and laughed
So now you know what it's like in the scene
Even after all these years, people all aren't what they seem
Few minutes later, they were back
Turned around real quick, thought they heard a crack
There he was, he had a knife
Barely had any time to run for their lives
So now you know what it's like in the scene
If you're listening late at night, you can hear their screams

Red Foot
03:30
|
|||
Out of the shadows and out of hand
Creeps a villain who once was a man
Don't know where he came from or who he is
The fault of everything is obviously his
A freak of nature who roamed the lands
Who sailed the waters and then tread the sands
And now he suffers his lonesome curse, and he said
"By god, my life just can't get any worse."
He lived his life as strong as can be
He met his maker and now, now he's free
They all forgot him so now he lay
Beneath the snow somewhere and there he will remain

White Lily
05:38
|
|||
And her bed sank lower than it did before
And her face turns a lovely shade of blue
As her soul leaves her body through her hazel eyes
And I know that it's warm where he's going next
In the garden where her body lay
All the children drop down to their knees and pray
On a night where the air is so cold
The white lily says the tale is told
And his head bears a burden more heavy than before
And his eyes shoot open, fixed upon the bedroom door
Then his gaze meets the one of the pretty hazel eyes
And he meets them with a sense of pure surprise

Shoulder
04:07
|
|||
Days go by a little too fast with you
Grapes on a vine turn a little too sour too soon
A little too restless to sleep off my pained migraine
The clock skips an hour, think that I'm insane
I'm too far for my hands to hold her
Another bad file to add to my folder
Ice in the bath so I can feel colder
Nails in my neck keep my head on my shoulder
I can't read the notes you write on black paper
The feelings you felt seem to wither and taper
My heart's on a shelf and you stick it down on the floor
They say loves a battle but I think that I've lost the war
I'm too far for my hands to hold her
Another bad file to add to my folder
Ice in the bath so I can feel colder
Nails in my neck keep my head on my shoulder

Beyond The Wall
06:58
|
|||
Lines of men all march forth
Grab your stone and carve it down
Don't say a word, just do your job
This wall of stone won't build itself
Light was cast from cracks in the wall
They just walk past, they don't care at all
But one did stop to look through the crack
And what he saw took him aback
From beyond, beyond the wall
Mountains cry and oceans soar
Valleys stretch for miles away
We must find a way through the break

Manifesto
02:31
|
|||
Interaction, Inter-Reaction, it's all the same to me
Spread your wings and fly like a falcon
Leap into the sea
Altercation, Alter-Narration, the story stays the same
Cutthroat thugs from other dimensions
Return from whence you came

Giggle Spectre
03:39
|
|||
Who's that laughing in the hall?
Lightning strikes and shakes the wall
Feel those eyes upon my own
Burns my neck and chills the bone
Who's that standing by the stairs?
Moving, shaking, rocking chairs?
Don't think they care for me at all
Strike me down and watch me fall

Tin Windmill
02:07
|
|||
There in the dead of night
Voices whisper your name
Under pale moonlight
Footsteps reach through the halls and
Slowly spin the blades
As the tin windmill degrades

Bad as it Gets
04:29
|
|||
It's after the show
The street lights aglow
We stand in the lot under December snow
It's past twelve o'clock
We hang out and talk
I stare at the ground as I'm kicking up rocks
We smoke cigarettes
And state our regrets
Then sadly exclaim "That's as bad as it gets"
Emotions will rise
Through a smiling disguise
As the life that we live slowly crumbles and dies

Underwhelming Exit
02:45
|
|||
Now that the day has finally reached its end
Through the front door to the basement I slowly descend
Sit in my room and I stare at the crack in the wall
Hoping that some day this building will crumble and fall
Slip back to bed as the clock strikes a quarter past ten
Familiar old bedroom I've seen time and again
Let loose all thoughts and answer the call of the void
With a solemn goodbye to the people who I once enjoyed
